Strategy & Service
How we work — and what we offer.
Dream Strategy
We use waterways as maps and boats as spaces
to create site-specific arts and culture programmes
for creative practice, community engagement, and canal regeneration.
Dream Service
CD’s current services are Canal Dream Event, Canal Dream Connect, Canal Dream Craft, the Canal Dreamer, and Canal Dream Strategy.
We curate and produce multi-arts and culture events on canals and boats, transforming waterways into vibrant creative spaces.
We connect with cross-sector partners to explore projects beyond the arts, co-creating a waterway-based social innovation network.
We offer crafts and designs inspired by the waterways, supporting young creatives and revitalising canal heritage.
We share stories, reflections, creative journeys, and lived experiences along the waterways — a space for voices, visions, and waterborne imagination.
We offer creative strategy, curatorial support, and project direction—helping organisations and individuals shape imaginative, caring, and participatory programmes.
5-Year Goal
Our 5-year goal is to grow the Canal Dream Art Festival into a renowned linear multi-arts event on the water, expanding beyond King’s Cross to encompass the full length of Regent’s Canal and parts of the River Lea. With venues on boats and along the canalside, the festival will span from Hackney in the east, through the heart of the city, to Paddington in the west — forming a fluid cultural route that connects art, nature, community, and heritage.
