About the Migratory Birds 300 (候鸟300)​

Curated under the metaphorical theme of "migratory birds," Migratory Birds 300 is a collaborative public art programme designed to unite 300 creators by the seaside for 300 hours. This initiative serves as a marathon of creativity, experimentation, and collaboration, fostering a space where artists can live and work together in harmony with their surroundings. As a special segment of the Aranya Theatre Festival, Migratory Birds 300 celebrates the spirit of artistic exchange and co-creation.

About 候鸟300 · 梦游 ｜ Water-based UK-China Artist Exchange Programme 

​

The Water-based UK-China Artist Exchange Programme is an international initiative jointly organised by Canal Dream, Slash Arts, and the Aranya Theatre Festival’s Migratory Birds 300. This exchange programme bridges two cultures through waterways, with Chinese artists living and creating aboard boats along Regent’s Canal in London, while British artists travel to the seaside at Aranya in Qinhuangdao. Both groups immerse themselves in local waterfront communities, creating and showcasing site-specific works.
